Fun times in California

Taven's a peapod for Halloween.

Cole and Aidan love their baby cousin but wish he could play already. Cole kept asking me why he only sleeps and cries...really Taven is a good baby but kids are cute.

He is smiling a lot now. Like is "check" it is his chin/neck says auntie Laura...

He looks like me in this picture. I can't believe he has gained almost 5 lbs in 6 weeks...what a porker!

Cole was talking to him while I packed and Taven couldn't keep his eyes off him. He smiled back and was loving his big cousins attention.

He was last weighed over a week ago but he was already over 7 lbs. My guess is that he is now over 8! He is definitely out of the preemie clothes but will hopefully fit in the newborn for awhile.

Taven Ross Clancy

Taven is here! What an amazing process to have a baby. Truly amazing from start to never ending. Taven is healthy, growing and changing everyday. He weighed 5 lbs 15 oz and was 18.5 in long. He dropped a bit to much weight waiting for real milk to come in but now he is a champ at eating and is over 6 lbs.

One week left...

Well, my blood pressure is not going down to where it should be even though I am on bedrest and doing nothing. My midwife said that no matter what, I am being induced on the 18th unless this little man comes out before then. I hope he does come sooner but obviously, don't get to call the shots. Every 2 days I am going into the hospital for a non-stress test, or an ultrasound, or a regular check up. They are watching me really carefully yet I feel fine. It is a weird thing. In the end, the goal is the same, a healthy baby boy. I cannot wait to hold him and love him and share him with our family...what an exciting time!

Just over 2 weeks Left!

I know! It is upside down...I need a lot of help on this website...

I found my camera! I thought it was lost which meant that I couldn't post pictures I had or take any more so there is a big gap in time but I am just glad to have the camera found. (It was in a drawer in my house...no big deal!)In this picture I am about 36 weeks pregnant. I am currently almost 38 weeks pregnant.

Things have been going really well except for a startling surprise of having to go to the hospital the other night and have blood work done as well as monitor Taven for 3 hours. I went in for a routine weekly check and my blood pressure was REALLY high. It is normally perfect so it was a bit creepy for me. I will find out Monday if I can work still or if I am on bed rest. This weekend I am supposed to lay low, on Monday I go to work for a half day and if my blood pressure is still high then I guess I will be waiting at home for labor to begin...BORING!

I will get better pictures taken and add to this bad boy. Sorry to keep everyone waiting!
